Varsity Head Coach Iesha Collins

Coach Collins is entering her 11th year of coaching in public education. She began her career at Tippit Middle School—her alma mater—where she coached for three years. She then spent two years as the Varsity First Assistant at Connally High School, where she played a key role in rebuilding the program and helping the team advance to the second round of the UIL State Playoffs. In her second year at Connally, she was honored as the TABC Assistant Coach of the Year.Following her time at Connally, Coach Collins returned to her hometown to serve as the Varsity First Assistant at East View High School for two years.
Coach Collins is entering her fourth year as head coach at Bowie High School. Her head coaching record is 69-34 and the Bowie Lady Dawgs have made playoffs every year since her arrival. Coach Collins played college basketball at Texas Lutheran University for a year and a half before an injury ended her playing career. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Texas State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and later completed a Master’s in Sports Management from the University of Texas, graduating with honors as well. Beyond school athletics, she has worked with several AAU programs to help develop young athletes in the Austin area. Junior Varsity Red and First Assistant Coach Ross Anderson

Coach Anderson is entering his 10th year coaching girls basketball. Anderson began his career in public education and coaching, and he is now entering his seventh year in the profession. He began as an assistant coach at Clear Falls High School in League City, where the team reached the playoffs in four of his five years. During his tenure, Clear Falls secured five playoff victories, including a regional semifinal appearance in 2017, highlighted by a second-round win over 2016 state finalist North Shore. Anderson then spent a year as an assistant at Clear Brook High School before joining Bowie High School.
Anderson is a 2014 graduate of Baylor University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education. During his time at Baylor, he stayed closely connected to the game by serving as a manager for the Men’s Basketball Team, witnessing one Sweet Sixteen and two Elite Eight appearances from the sidelines. Anderson is entering his 4th year at Bowie, and is excited to continue building on the foundation he has helped build here at Bowie. 3 playoff appearances in 3 years, including a second round appearance last season. Junior Varsity Black Leitasi Neal

Coach Neal is originally from Temecula, California, and is entering her fourth year of coaching and teaching in public education. She began her career at the middle school level, where she quickly discovered a passion for working with student-athletes.
Coach Neal played college basketball at Vanguard University during her freshman year before transferring to Seattle Pacific University. There, she walked on and competed for one season with the Falcons. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health and Fitness Education from Seattle Pacific, where she also completed a capstone project examining the impact of body image on student-athletes compared to their non-athlete peers. Her research reflects a strong commitment to understanding mental health and its effects on athletic performance and well-being, particularly in the area of body image. Coach Neal also holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Seattle Pacific University. Freshman Coach Daniel Bachrach

Coach Bachrach is a Varsity Assistant Basketball Coach and Math teacher. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a minor in Geography from Texas State University. With 13 years of teaching experience—four in Houston and nine in Austin—he brings both educational and athletic expertise to his role.
Over the past seven years, Coach Bachrach has served as a Varsity Assistant for girls basketball teams at Northeast High School, Austin High School, and currently, Bowie High School. During his tenure, the Varsity teams at both Bowie and Austin High have earned Bi-District Championships. In addition to his work in AISD, Coach Bachrach has over a decade of experience coaching club basketball with organizations such as TWE, Cen-Tex, and adult city leagues. He also has experience coaching volleyball and cross country. Coach Bachrach is passionate about basketball and equally committed to academic excellence.
